Connecting Classrooms Through Global Learning
A cluster of 6 schools from Leicester City, led by Mayflower Primary, have forged new partnerships and paired up with a group of 6 schools in Nepal as part of Connecting Classrooms through Global Learning, a unique global education programme.
The partner schools involved are:
Mayflower Primary School and Kalika Manavgyan School
Uplands Infant School and Noble Academy
Northmead Primary Academy and Vishwa Jyoti School
Rushey Mead Primary School and Kids Home Academy
Linden Primary School and Gaidakot Namura School
Inglehurst Junior School and Vijaya Samudayik Siksha Sadan
Teachers from all 12 schools have held a number of video conferences together since May to plan for the year-long project.
Children have already engaged in two project activities: work on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals using the wonderful book - Malala's Magic Pencil, and designing a project logo (see other posts for details).
We are looking forward to welcoming our Nepalese colleagues to Leicester at the end of September!
