National Sports Week
In celebration of National Sports Week we have been very busy with lots of sporting activities this week.We started every morning with either ‘Wake and Shake’ or ‘Run a Mile’ sessions. It was great to see so many children (and staff) active before starting school. In fact there was a total of 85 children who took part in the morning sporting activities! Well done to everyone who took part. We have had some simply brilliant dance tuition from the very talented Kate Attwell - the children and teachers absolutely loved these! Year 4, 5 and 6 classes headed down to the beach for fantastic surf days; thank you very much Perranporth Surf School and the RNLI. We have had two football matches and Key Stage 2 Sports Day, 2 Richard Lander students (Kieron and Harry) led some great tag rugby lessons, Dom (an FA coach) delivered exciting football sessions including our very own mini Euro 2016, Derek Mitchell (Perranporth Golf-Club Professional) introduced the Year 5 and 6 children to some fun tri-golf and finally, European and British Surf Champion Ben Skinner delivered an inspirational lesson. What an incredibly sporty time Perranporth School has had! A huge thank you to the staff involved and our special visitors for such a great week.
