Admission to St George's

As a Church of England School we serve the community of Langton Matravers (including Acton and Knitson), Worth Matravers (including part of Harmans Cross) and Kingston (including Encombe and Blashenwell) but welcome applications from the surrounding areas too.

St George's offers a place to applicants irrespective of gender, religion, ethnicity or country of origin, disability or academic ability. Our current planned admission number in September is 20 pupils. September Admission to Reception Class

Applications for admission to the reception class in September should be made on-line on the Dorset For You website ( www.dorsetforyou.com/schooladmissions ). Please read the relevant admissions policy and supplemental information before making your application.

In the event that an application is refused due to oversubscription, parents/carers have the right to appeal to this decision. An appeal can be lodged on-line at www.dorsetforyou.com/school-admissions/school-appeals. A timetable for the appeals procedure can be found here also.

All Other Admissions

St George's accepts applications for admission to the school at other times throughout the year in all year groups (depending on current pupil numbers). From January 2017,  all in year admissions are now dealt with by the Local Authority and prospective applicants should contact the LA Admissions Service.
