We constantly work with ICT Coordinators and headteachers. Consequently we are fully
aware of the highly demanding role of the ICT Coordinator. Headteachers generally realise that all staff must be responsible for the development of pupil ICT skills and there should not be an over-reliance on the coordinator. The tasks facing numerous ICT Coordinators are difficult especially with regard to the latest national initiatives involving the
Digital Competence Framework (DCF). See links below.
Angelsoft believes that Digital Competence can only be achieved by the development of pupil ICT skills. It is important to note that Estyn will not be inspecting the DCF. However, Estyn will continue to assess ICT skills within schools and from September 2017 must report on the delivery of ICT skills within all inspected schools. All staff must be aware of this.
Our Solutions and Resources have been developed within classrooms with the assistance of ICT Coordinators, teachers and headteachers. We have found the input from ICT Coordinators crucial during the development stage.
The solutions offer detailed skills statements essential for planning and assessment in areas that are regarded as weak, namely Coding, Spreadsheets and Data Handling. The ICT skills address numerous areas of the DCF. We believe that our packs will make the delivery of ICT easier for coordinators who oversee the development of ICT.
The downloadable spreadsheet below outlines this further.
Please feel free to try out a sample of our resources from the downloadable area below.
We would be delighted to receive any feedback from ICT Coordinators.
