Horse riding
Horse riding sports have been popular since ancient times .
Today there are many kinds of different horse riding events
like horse racing, show jumping and dressage. In horse race horses are ridden by riders know as jockeys. They run for a set distance, often with obstacles for them to jump over.
In show jumping riders direct their horses around a course of obstacles, which they have to jump over without making mistakes.
Dressage
In dressage, riders get their horses to perform a series of exact movements, such as trot, turns and diagonal steps. Dressage is called horse ballet
