Babies, Taste & Hearing
The children had a very small, but exciting, visitor this week. Mrs O'Leary kindly bought in her new baby and the children listened carefully as Mrs O'Leary told us about the kinds of things that she has to do to look after her new baby. In cooking the children made some homemade baby food and compared it's taste with a jar of baby food. The pictogram clearly showed that our favourite was the homemade kind. We have had lots of fun in the role play area this week which had been turned into a baby clinic. The children loved pretending to be Mum's, Dad's and Auntie's to all the babies. In the outdoor area the children used the water tray as a bath for the babies, with Mrs Cotterall's expert guidance of course!
We loved the colouring in so
much we even did it in the
book corner!
Thank you Mrs O'Leary for bringing in your lovely new baby!
