Challenge

01.02.2019

Our learning theme next week is the traditional tale ‘Little Red Riding Hood’.

Please read this story with your childand ask them to tell you what they think Little Red Riding Hood should have done instead in order to stay safe. If you don’t have a copy of the book there are lots of versions on the internet.

Please post their responses on the challenge blog. To help your child to remember keyparts of the story please role play the story with them.

Next week in cooking we will be making scrummy jam tarts to take to Grandma. In addition, we will be learning about the best ways to keep our teeth healthy, so that we can say ‘What nice teeth you have!’ Throughout the week the children will have a range of mark making and writing opportunities including shopping lists and character description. The children will also have the opportunity to make ‘Get Well’ cards for Grandma if they choose to.

There will be lots of story-telling opportunities next week from a wide range of resources including story sequencing cards, finger puppets, masks, costumes and even shadow puppets for Foundation 2.

We are looking forward to welcoming Miss Rush this Monday for her first session in Foundation.
