Myself, Sight & Touch

The children have had a super week! We would like to thank all the parents/carers/grandparents for all your support so far with helping your child to learn their lines for the nativity. The rehearsals are going well and we can't wait to see the final production! The children have been learning about their bodies this week, so we have talked about ways to stay healthy. The children thought carefully and in a circle time talked about the fruit and vegetables that they like to eat, how they stay clean, what things make them happy and we also watched a video about how to wash our hands like a chef. In cooking the children made delicious, healthy flapjack cakes and we hope they shared some with you! In Foundation 2 we learned about our skeleton and we sang and danced to the song 'Them Bones', we loved completing the skeletons with playdough, who had some bones missing! We also really enjoyed having a go at drawing skeletons using white crayons and chalks. This week has also been Anti-Bullying Week. In Foundation 2 we talked about what this word meant and what we needed to do if this happened. We decided that in Foundation we are a team so we need to look after each other and be kind. Billy the Bee, one of our Building Learning Power characters, has been cuddled a lot by the children this week as he has seen so many acts of kindness. Well done everybody!

Them bones, them bones,
