Yellow

What a fun filled week we have had in Foundation! We do hope the children shared their healthy banana, oat & raisin cookies with you, we thought they tasted delicious. The children have explored the colour yellow in lots of ways this week, through sparkly yellow play dough, yellow water, colouring in and creating with different yellow media, to name just a few. The sunflowers that the children have created look beautiful and really brighten up the classroom. In Foundation 2 the children have been writing about yellow fruit and vegetables. In addition, the children have been very curious about our colour mixing experiment in milk. The children thought really carefully about how to make the red and blue food colouring mix in the milk, but it just wouldn't! They suggested stirring, leaving it for a really long time, using more food colouring and after trying out all of these suggestions the children decided that the milk was causing the problem and we should use water instead! Foundation 1 had an exciting morning too, they met their Year 6 Buddies and we had a wonderful time meeting new friends and showing them our classroom.
