Our theme this week is "Jonah and the Whale"

This week we have continued with our 'Rainbow Fish' theme from last week, with lots of 'under the sea' activities and crafts to keep us busy. We have also been looking at 'The Treasure Chest' which is a story from our Oxford Reading Tree scheme. The story follows the well known and much loved characters Biff, Chip, Wilma and Nadim as they embark on an exciting adventure under the sea. They come face to face with numerous sea creatures; big and small, before eventually coming across a treasure chest guarded by a giant octopus. Do ou remember what happens next Foundation? Do the manage to get to the treasure in time or do they get chased off by a big shark?

We made ice lollies in cooking this week which we enjoyed all together on Friday.

Look at our 'Jonah and the Whale' pictures we drew in the independent drawing area!

We made painted our own whale pictures using a whale shaped sponge printed onto a swirly pattern we created for the sea.

On Tuesday Morning this week we held a parent share to celebrate Father's Day.We were joined by lots of Daddy's, Grandads, Uncles and many more. Click Here to see photos from this morning.
