Our theme this week is.... "Oliver's Vegetables"
When a farmer plants the seeds in his turnip field, he gets more than he bargained for - much more! One of the seeds just grows and grows and grows, leaving the farmer with the problem of how to dig it up. What follows is a lot of heaving and pulling, with more and more people recruited to help, until they finally pull the turnip up together. This traditional story is about co-operation and helping others.

In cooking we made and tasted vegetable mash.
