Year 5 learn all about the Tudors
 
So far we have learnt lots about Tudor food.
We have learnt that they eat lots of meat but
that was only the rich people. The rich people
drank wine and beer. They have there food
served on wooden plates .the poor drank water
and milk. They ate cow, pig, chicken hair and
mushrooms.
Henry the VIII was king of England in 1509.
Henry had 6 wives and only one of them survived and her name was Katherine Parr.
Henry loved Jane Seymour the best.
Henry was born on the 28 of June 1491.
Henry was really annoyed because he wanted a son.
Henry the VIII` s parents were Henry VII and Elizabeth of York.
 Henry loved ridding horse and hunting.
He was a first class archer and jouster.
He also was a wrestler and he liked it.
Henry the VIII was interesting in war.
When Henry was king Spain was an ally.

Catherin of Aragon was born 16th December 1485, married 11th June 1509, divorced in 1533, died 7th January.
Anne Boleyn was born in 1500, married January 1533, executed 19th of May 1536.

Jane Seymour was born in 1509, married on 30th of May 1536, died 24 of October 1537.
Anne of Cleves was born on the 22nd of September 1515, married 6th of January 1540, divorced on in July 1540, died on the 16th of July 1557.
Kathryn Howard was born in 1521, married on 28th of july1540, executed on the 13th Ferubary.    

Rich girls
Rich Girls wore these things every day.
A Petticoat, a farthingale, a gown a ruff,
sequin slippers and lots of jewels as well.
They wore all these things, but NO pants!
Rich men
Rich Men wore lots of armour when they went out to fight but, all day they wore things like a doublet, a jerkin, a shirt, a cloak, short trousers, pump type shoes, a hat maybe with a feather in the top and lots of jewels!
