The Forest
A tree taps my shoulder,
As I bend down to sit on a boulder,
I look up in surprise,
But the tree just seems to hide.

I weave in and out of the trees,
As if I'm carried by the breeze.
The forest is so friendly to me,
It invited me to tea,

It greets me in delight,
I know that we will never ever fight.
The sun shines on my back,
And makes my shadow shine black.

I'm having so much fun,
Away and away I run,
The forest animals call for me to play,
I'm having SUCH a great day,
I don't want to go away.

During Creative Week, Mrs Bartley led writing
workshops for all of the children in year 2-6 and we
invited parents to join us! The theme for the workshops
was..... 'In the Forest.'It was a huge success and it was great
to see mixed year groups and parents working alongside
each other to produce creative masterpieces!
Here is just a sample of the fantastic pieces of
writing produced
!
As I strolled along the wet soggy path, splashing through the muddy puddles,
Yellow, glittery leaves, dripping rain,
gentle, brown deers were stepping quietly in and out of trees.

The Mysterious Forest
Huddled together beneath the towering trees were a huddle of 8 mysterious men that just looked like black dots. Nobody knew who or what was there until 8 pitch black shadows were dancing in the moonlight. The wonderful, whistling wind was flying through the trees as tall as a windmill, with owls tweeting of the woods. people making crispy crunching rustling noises when treading on colourful leaves. Squelch, squelch all through the forest were a mysterious group of hoodies came closer and closer. Several black shadows were creeping up in all horrible places. When an old lady came through the woods the 8 conspirators  jumped out with a knife and had a strike at the old lady. Arguments went right through the group until another group of evil men came and started a fight.
One of the men named Alfie ran away and got help. He phoned the police, but before he called the police he yelled at the top of his voice "HELP!"  The conspirators ran away with a fist. The police came and no one was there.

Lurking in the shadows not wanting to be seen, masked and mysterious people plot a sinister plan. Disguised as hunters, they want to kidnap a child, who they know will be walking in the forest later on in the day.
Huddled together under the trees, they memorise their plan to kidnap the child who did graffiti on their car. Whispers fill the air...
Skipping on the dry, crispy, Autumn leaves the young child, named Sam suddenly hears a rustling sound. The men who were plotting to kidnap Sam. "AHHHHHHHHHH" Screams Sam.

Green, growing grass,
trees all amass,
clouds in the sky beautiful to the eye
trees spread their branches, high into the sky
flowers in bloom, to adorn any room

The Runaway
Guided by the light of the moon they threaded through the trees to a secret place to plan. The five faces covered with scarves and hats. They huddled round a fire with scarves and hats. They huddled round a fire with marshmellows. Sat in the deepest, darkest parts of the woods the plan comes together. They hear sticks, twigs and a hooting of an owl. They feel their heart beating. With their torches they see the trees swishing in the darkness of the night sky and they see shadows that are not their own......
