Speech
j2e speech allows words on the page to be spoken, to aid comprehension. All users get a short free trial of j2e speech, after which time it is available as a paid upgrade.
With j2e speech, you can
1. Select words on the page, and hear them spoken.
2. Set the talk as you type option, and hear the word when you press a space after it.
3. Make web pages containing a talk button, allowing selected text on the page to be spoken.
4. Make web pages, where the web page user can click on a sentence to hear it spoken.
5. Make web pages with links that talk.
6. Speak words in the spell check and word list windows.

To add the button, follow the menu from the zig zag button at the top, follow action button, and select talk. This will let you place a talk button on your page. Try using the button on this page, select some text, and then press talk above!
4. Web pages with 'click on a sentence' to hear it spoken
In the editor, on your page, either double click select some text, or stripe select some text. Then press link in the tool panel on the right, the link window will appear, select the talk tab, and then the talk check box.
When the page is saved, this text will now become a link that speaks itself.

You can also set a shape or a picture to talk when it is pressed.
Select the picture and press link. Use the talk tab, but this time enter the words to be spoken within the entry field and press enter.

2. Set the 'talk as you type' option
Click on a blank area of your page, and the paper tools will appear on the right panel. Select the talk as you type option.
Now when words are completed and the space bar is pressed, the word will be spoken.

In the j2e editor, with the buttons at the top of the page, select some text on the page, and press the red talk button. The selected words will be spoken, and highlighted in red.
You may also just place the caret in the text, and press the talk button. The page will be read from the caret to the end of the page. Press the talk button again to stop the speaking.

If you save your page as a web page, you can add a button that allows the page viewer to select some text and speak it.
