Winter Edition
Lifeline Prices

Ou
r prices have remained unchanged for the last 2 years. Increased costs - particularly for transport - mean that we have been forced to increase prices for 2008/09.

Click here for the 2008/09 prices.

However we recognise that budgets are always stretched in schools and so have introduced a 5% time bonus for schools (and other customers) renewing their subscription. When your subscription is renewed you will receive 5% more time than you order e.g. if you order 20 Lifeline hours then you will be credited with 21 hours.

In April we are celebrating 10 years of Lexicon Lifeline providing ICT advice and support. As a special 10th anniversary offer, until 1st April 2008, subscriptions that are renewed early will get 10% additional time e.g. if your subscription is due for renewal between April 2008 and March 2009 and you renew now at the 2008/09 rates with 20 hours of support, then you will be credited with 22 hours.

Twelve schools joined our subscription service in 1998 and have been members ever since. As a reward for their loyalty we are making these schools lifetime members and they are exempt from paying the annual subscription fee from now onwards - a saving this year of £80.

The schools are: Buckholme Towers School, Hayeswood First School, Lady St Mary First School, Longspee School, Lytchett Matravers Primary School, Muscliff Primary School, St Andrew's First School Fontmell Magna, St Michael's Primary School Lyme Regis, Trent Youngs Endowed Primary School, Underhill Junior School, and Wyke Primary School Gillingham.

Technician Training
Our technician training courses have proved very popular. They have been oversubscribed and we are putting on overflow courses to allow all those that have applied so far to be able to attend. There are still a few places left on the overflow courses.

The details can be found here.
BETT Report

Online is here

Last March we produced our first online newsletter using Just2Easy (j2e). This year at BETT there were a considerable number of new online products.

Podcasting
Are there educational benefits to podcasting? If so, what is the best approach? Roger Young of Kudlian Soft has offered to run a free half day 'Podcasting' workshop for Lifeline schools using Kudlian's Podcaster software and freely available utilities.

If you would be interested in attending a podcasting workshop then please fill in this form.
