Our school thinks that being healthy and staying that way is vitally

Phase 1:
Action Area 1: Food and Fitness: We decided to focus on our breakfast club, healthy school snack scheme and our visits from outside agencies such as Bendylegs Granola.
Action Area 2: Mental and Emotional Health and Wellbeing: We decided to focus on how we use peer assessment, P4C and talk partners to help us work in class. We also looked at our Playground Pals scheme that is used on the playground.
Action Area 3: Environment: We decided to focus on how we use the outdoor environment at our school to impact our teaching and learning such as planting our own vegetable patches.
Phase 2:
Action Area 1: Safety: We decided to focus on how we can stay safe on the roads and how we can stay safe on the Internet and when using computers
Action Area 2: Substance Misuse: We decided to focus on holding our own anti smoking week and our substance misuse sessions led by PC Ellis. We also went to visit role models at Ospreylia Day!
Action Area 3: Environment: We decided to focus on all of the new developments we have been making to our outdoor learning environment such as the woodland trail, the outside classroom, wicker structures and improving the quiet area.
Phase 3
Action Area 1: Hygiene - We focused on dental hygiene by having a visit and interactive workshop from the Designed To Smile Team.
Action Area 2: Mental and Emotional Health and Wellbeing - We focused on our journey to become a Rights Respecting School.
Action Area 3: Personal Development and Relationships - We focused on changing and exploring how we teach and learn about SRE in our school.
Action Area - Mental and Emotional Health and Wellbeing.
For Phase 4 we focused on a single action area for two years. Our focus was becoming a UNICEF Rights Respecting School. We were successful in attaining our RRS Level 1 award.
Phase 5
Action Area - Environment
For Phase 5 we will be focusing on our environment and working with the Eco Committee to develop our school grounds....Watch this space for more details!
For Phase 4 we focused on a single action area for two years. Our focus was becoming a UNICEF Rights Respecting School. We were successful in attaining our RRS Level 1 award.
