World Book Day - Thursday 3rd March
On Thursday 3rd March the children and staff at St George’s celebrated World Book Day. The children came to school dressed as their favourite book character and staff all brought in a prop. The props were used to create a game with the children who had to ask questions to work out which character the prop belonged to.
Children at the lower end of the school had a parade and shared their costumes with each other while years 5 and 6 worked together to design and create children’s books. Each class did work focussed around World Book Day. During assembly time, the teachers swapped classes to read a story. Have a look at these photos and see what fun we had!
