Holiday Absence Application Requests
Absences from school, during term time, to take holidays or short breaks, are now being strictly monitored and a new system to apply for this time off for your child, or children, is having to be put into place within Stokes.
A maximum of 10 school days in each school year is all that is allowed for each child. This may be taken all at once, or may be cumulative throughout the school year.
The procedure will now involve the completion of a request form (available from the school office, or can be downloaded and printed off using the link below), which should then be returned to the school office. Your request for the time off will be considered by Mr Meadows and a letter informing you of the decision will be sent to you.
If insufficient time is allowed for permission to be granted, or permission is not requested and sanctioned, your child will be considered to have taken an unauthorised absence from school.

2012 Key Stage 2 SATs tests will take place during the week beginning 14th May, we very strongly recommend that you DO NOT take your children out of school during this week, or the previous week.
