School Aims
We believe that:

1. All children should be confident, happy in themselves and caring for others
2. Every child should have access to the widest possible curriculum.
3. Every child should have the opportunity to reach their full potential.

In order to achieve these objectives for all our children we aim to:-

*     create a welcoming, happy, caring and secure atmosphere within  a stimulating and  attractive environment.

*     encourage the children to feel confident and fully involved in the wider aspects of school life.

*     foster tolerance of others, their beliefs, opinions and values.

*     encourage the children to be courteous and respectful towards others, both in school and out in the community.

*     develop an enthusiastic and enquiring  approach to the intellectual, physical, social and moral  aspects of the curriculum in order to provide a total learning experience.

*    focus on the children's individual progress and achievements.

*    provide a broad curriculum to which all children have equal access, including those with special, social, emotional or  physical needs, by matching learning tasks to the individual.

*    develop a co-operative, willing and independent approach to learning and self-management.

*    enable each child to become a fully contributing participant in society.

We aim to make our school a happy place where your child will get on well with others, work hard, learn and progress.  The children are encouraged to be independent and responsible. We feel it is important to promote good behaviour and not just simply punish bad behaviour.  We want parents to be involved, wherever possible, in school life and make sure that they have a variety of opportunities to meet and talk to the teachers about their child's work and behaviour.

Our aims are achieved through the curriculum offered and we provide as broad a range of interesting and stimulating educational activities as possible. Parents are encouraged to give their children the support needed to take full advantage of these opportunities.
