River Tawe Walk
We have been learning about rivers and their features. We walked south along the River Tawe towards Swansea and noticed Red Kites and Cormorants and learnt about holding ponds that encourage brown trout and salmon. We also learnt about the source, mid course and mouth of the river and how people use and affect the rivers.
Unfortunately there was a lot of litter around which we weren't happy about!
We also went for a river walk with Miss Thomas north to Ynysforgan and learnt about flood plains and other flood defences that had been built to protect people and homes.
