During WW2 while the men were fighting the women would be making machinery like guns, bullets, tanks, planes and so on.
The Lancaster bomber is one of the most famous bomber in WW2 it carried 7 men and it could fly up to 454 kmh. the first test flight was in January 1941. The plane was just about over 21 metres long and the wings were 31 metres long and could fly 4,000 km long. The Lancaster was usually made with 8 machine guns and bombs.
The Spitfire is the most famous fighter plane in WW2 and is the only British fighter plane that is always made in WW2. The Spitfire was named after someone with a strong and fiery character.The plane weighs nearly 2,400 kilograms and carries 1 person who shoots and fly's.
