The Starfish

Despite the very misleading name, the starfish is not actualy a fish. Since the starfish does not have a backbone, it belongs to a group of species called invertebrates. There are 1600 different species of starfish living in the world's oceans. Most species of starfish have 5 arms but some can grow as many as 50 arms. The starfish likes to eat molluscs like clams, oysters and snails.

The Owl

The owl is an nocturnal bird with great vision and hearing. Owls hunt small mammals like mice, insects and birds. Some owls hunt also fish. Owls can rotate their heads and necks as much 270 degrees. Owls have 14 neck vertebrae as compared to the 7 of us humans. Like all birds, the owl is a vertebrate. Owls can be found almost in all the World except in Antartica and in some remote islands.
