E – Safety Policy – Pupil Voice

As a Rights Respecting School we believe it is important to know our rights. We have worked together with staff to make sure our e-safety policy allows everyone to access ICT in a safe way.

We believe that:

All classes should be taught:

Article 17 - You have the right to access information

Article 16- You have the right to privacy

Article 19-The right to protection

• Every pupil must read and sign the e-safety agreement

• Every class should display our ‘E-Safety –Keeping safe Online’ poster clearly for all pupils to see.

• Our E-safety logo and slogan must be displayed with computers around the school to remind pupils how to stay safe online

Our work so far: May 2017

• We have held an e-safety day

• We had a ‘e-safety rules’ poster competition

• We have a new e-safety logo and slogan created by pupils at our school

• We had an open evening to teach parents about staying safe online

• Every class has its own copy of the winning e-safety poster rules

• Our e-safety slogan and mascot is with many computers around the school

Thank you

The Rights Respecting Team 2016-2017 :)
