A lovely week to finish for half-term. Again a very busy and productive week of learning. The children have written fact files for Queen Victoria and learnt methods to find fractions of shapes and amounts in maths.
The children have finished their own clay coins in design technology. They have painted them in gold and metallic in the style of a £2 coin. After photographing their efforts the children have evaluated them with some very honest feedback.
*On Wednesday 22 nd February we have parents meeting day, please sign up for a time with me in class. There are still plenty of times available.
Stars of the week: All the children produced some great family trees for home learning. The four that were chosen for stars of the week were Eva, Dexter, Abi and Freya P.
Spellings: this week's spellings are words with the spelling sound ‘qu + o’ and ‘w + o’.
Home-learning: fractions of amounts. See home learning books please for tasks.
Our next topic will be ‘Town Mouse,Country Mouse’. We will look at life in both towns and cities and the countryside. More information will follow the first week back after half-term.
Have a peaceful half-term and I look forward to seeing the children on Monday 20 th February.
