Please pay £1.25 weekly if your child wants fruit.
Please provide your child with a labeled water bottle to be kept in class.
Please label all items clearly. Hats, gloves and scarves too as the weather turns colder.
There are weekly spelling lists with additional english/ maths when appropriate. Please use the Spelling Menu at the front of the homework book for different ideas. The children are all tested weekly (Friday).
All of the children have been given a new home/school reading diary. Please could this be signed weekly by an adult so I know that the child has read at home. Each child has their own 'Reading Day' on which to return their diary and reading book. Please see me if they have forgotten.
Please choose ONE from the pupil-generated list to be returned by Monday 17th December. We will have an express celebration on Thursday 20th December 2.40pm where the children can show their projects to friends and family.
1. Research a local myth or legend and write it in your own words eg. King Arthur's stone on Gower, Pennard Castle, Culver Hole, Twm Sion Cati.
2. Design your own mythical creature eg. fairy, unicorn etc, in junk model/ poster form. Write a paragraph to explain its features (what it eats, where it lives, what its magical powers are).
Please do not hesitate to ask any questions you may have.
