Dear Parents and Carers,

This week, we have been retelling the story of the Shadow Dancers, a group of beings from the cold, dark southern tip of the world who escape to the sunshine with amazing results for the whole world - can your child retell the story to you?

In maths, we have been doing a lot of practical measuring in length, mass and capacity - can your child remember the units of measurement for each of these types of measuring?

In science, we began our light and shade topic by investigating reflections of capital letters.

In other news, FOPS are planning our School Summer Fair and need help running the stalls. It would be really helpful if we could have 2 or 3 volunteers from each class to help run the stalls. If we can get 3 per stall, you could share running it and would only have to do half an hour each, so you wouldn't be committed for the whole time. Please let us know if you can help or contact FOPS on their Facebook page. Thanks for you help.

Don't forget next week is National School Sports Week, if your child is attending any of the before school activities (mile run or wake and shake) then they can come in their PE kits and change into uniform afterwards. We hope to see lots of children at these fun events and can't wait for our turn to do archery on Thursday!

If you would like to contact us, please drop in to see us before or after school or email either of us on or .

Thank you.

Mrs Burns and Mrs Smitheram.
