School Lunches

at St George's

The hot lunches at St George's are provided by a local company called Butterfingers who are based in Swanage and provide nutritious meals that conform to Government guidelines. Children can choose to eat these hot lunches or bring their own packed lunch.

Hot lunches are FREE for Key Stage 1 pupils (those in Reception and Years 1 and 2) and cost £2.30 per meal for Key Stage 2 pupils (children in Years 3, 4, 5 and 6).

Prior to each 3 week period, menu order forms are sent home to parents to be returned to school with meal choices indicated and payment (if not eligible for free school meals). Payment may be made by cheque (made out to St George's Primary School) or cash.

Orders must be returned to school by the date specified or they will not be accepted.

A photocopy of you menu selection will be returned to you once your request has been entered on the computer. If there is a school trip on the day your child is booked for a hot meal, a packed lunch will be provided instead.

If your child is absent from school, the money for meals that have already been ordered with Butterfingers cannot be refunded.

If your child has special dietary requirements please see us in the school office so that we can contact Butterfingers and they can cater for this.
