The children have been very busy this week, baking buns both real and imaginary and singing its acompanying nursery rhyme. Lots of children have chosen to make a traditional bakers hat (with a little bit of adult help) and they look fantastic! We have used salt dough and playdough to make buns and have learned about comparing items by their weight using the balance scales as well as adding and counting the correct amount of currants. The children have loved making us buns and cups of tea throughout the week, using thoughtful and elaborate designs, if only they were real! We also had an extra item at our snack table this week, Mrs Leitch kindly cooked the potatoes that we grew in our garden and they tasted delcious!
