Spotlight on a teacher- Mrs Mitchell

My favourite author when I was growing up was definitely Enid Blyton! Among the many books she has written, the one that I loved the best was The Enchanted Wood. Jo, Bessy and Fanny discover a huge tree and all its secrets. I absolutely loved the idea of a magical tree that could take the characters to different lands such as The Land of Spells and The Land of Goodies! I remember getting really excited as I turned the pages to find out what would be the next adventure! The characters that Jo, Bessy and Fanny meet in the tree are brilliantly entertaining such as the Saucepan Man, Silky and Mister Watzisname.

The book is part of a trilogy and so if you enjoy reading it, you can read the Magic Faraway Tree and The Folk of the Faraway Tree. Enjoy!
