Using Flowol - from Algorithms to Programming
Flowol is the ideal software for taking pupil's understanding of computational thinking from algorithms into programming. It is a control simulation program that uses flow charts. Although it can be used with a control box it also uses clever 'mimics' that let pupils control simulated systems therefore fulfilling the National Curriculum requirement of 'controlling or simulating physical systems.'
Many schools already have Flowol but the latest version (Flowol 4) has considerable improvements over previous versions which make it much easier to use.
As well as providing training on how to use the software, schools sending delegates on this course will also be able to purchase a Flowol 4 site licence or upgrade their existing software at a considerable discount. Delegates will need to bring a laptop on this course.
