County Fermanagh


County Fermanagh is known as "The Lakeland County" because it has lots of beautiful lakes.


It's one of the six counties in Northern Ireland and is located in the southwest of the island of Ireland. County Tyrone is to the northeast, County Monaghan to the southeast (in the Republic of Ireland), County Cavan to the southwest (in the Republic of Ireland), County Leitrim to the west (in the Republic of Ireland) and County Donegal to the northwest (in the Republic of Ireland.



It has two big lakes called Upper and Lower Lough Erne, which are great for boating and fishing.


The main town is Enniskillen, which is right in the middle of the county.


The highest point in County Fermanagh is Cuilcagh Mountain, which is 665 meters tall.



You can explore the Marble Arch Caves, which are amazing underground caves with rivers and waterfalls.


Belleek Pottery, located in County Fermanagh, is one of the oldest working potteries in the world, famous for its delicate and beautiful porcelain.



Devenish Island has ancient ruins and a round tower that are fun to explore.


County Fermanagh is home to lots of wildlife, including birds, deer, and otters.
