Multiplication

Year 3 expectation: recall 2, 3, 4, 5 and 10 multiplication tables and use to solve multiplication and division problems.

Year 4 expectation: use mental strategies to recall multiplication tables for 2, 3, 4, 5,6 and 10 and use to solve division problems.

Being able to recall and use times table facts is a vital mathematical skill. While we are working from home it is a perfect time to continue the work we were doing in the class to master this skill.

Below I have included the year group expectations from the Welsh Curriculum and a video with ideas to help your child learn their tables at home. There is also a video that I posted on Class Dojo a couple of weeks ago sharing some of the online resources we have been using in the class to learn our tables.
