Write a letter to your grandparents explaining how you saved a whale on a school day.

Dear Grandma and Grandad,

Today I went on a school trip to the beach on a coach, it felt like we were travelling for ages. Finally we arrived, it was so hot I loved that. I knew we would have a great time here as there were loads of people enjoying themselves and having a good time. Grandad I bought my football to play on the sand with my school mates, because you know I love football and I couldn't leave without it. Miss Barr told us that we would be having a treasure hunt before we ate our lunch. While we were on our treasure hunt I found some big shiny gems, Oh yes!!!! I know you will love these grandma as you have lots of jewelry at home so this would be a nice present for you. Miss Barr noticed a helicopter flying above our heads it was pretty low as we were getting blown away, so Miss said we had to make our way back because she had a feeling something wasn't right. We started walking back towards the beach I was getting excited to eat my lunch and play football, I was so thirsty aswell because it was very hot. Suddenly we heard lots of screaming and shouting coming from the beach where we were heading to. We all started to panic and ask Miss what was going on? To my surprise there was a big blue humpback whale washed up on the sand OH!!! so this is what everyone was screaming about. There were seven firefighters, two excavators, the helicopter that was flying above our heads and a large crowd of people surrounding the whale. Miss told us that it seems like the whale is dehydrated and that's why the firemen were spraying it with water to cool it down, I asked Miss what can we do to help? I know lets start digging up the sand so that the water will surround the whale and maybe this could help it get back in the water. I used my bucket to collect water and pour it over the big blue humpback whale a few times, which was helping as the whale started to move and make noises, they were funny and we all started to laugh and cheer as the whale happily headed back into the sea. Oh and grandad I didn't get to play football maybe next time.
