THE POWER OF THE KRAKEN: Pirates' perspective.

The man blamed himself for putting his ship in danger. Captain Blunt looked over the lanterns of The Night's Eye (Blunt's boat) seeing the enemy ship, the Devastator. The tall grisly sea captain commanded, "All on the main bridge, make ready the guns!". He prepared his own triple cannons - at the back - with the help of three men on each cannon. The formerly allied galleon was John Tyrant's ship. Privateer Tyrant was Captain Blunt's half brother, but recently they had become enemies, all because of the Kraken...

If Tyrant hadn't got to the Kraken first, if Blunt didn't sail away, then the green tentacle wouldn't be rising up the side of his ship now. It swung round and tore through four of the five ropes holding up the mast, and shot up, then crashing down on the deck, making the space below visible. The crew all worked at jabbing the withering tentacles, as more long, suckered terrors rose up from the dark depths. One of them climbed up the mast like a champion rock climber. The ship was still moving, and as it rounded the corner, Blunt could see a huddle of mermaids as it lumbered through the mountains. Blunt yelled to the Mer-people, "Over here, help!". The Mer-people disappeared from view as the Kraken-crushed ship drifted on. After about ten minutes of thrashing and struggling and crunching, the Kraken finally overpowered The Night's Eye, dragging it below the surface and completely under the waves.

All was silent. All was still. Then the sea parted into four towering walls of water and The Night's Eye was revealed leaning to one side on the sand. Blunt was dead. After a short moment the sea revealed a massive giant, piercing it's way through it's quite obvious natural habitat and thrusting through the ocean's wall. It could only be the god Poseidon. Purposefully and methodically he stabbed at the body of Blunt with his trident. There was a flash of light and, like a rocket, Blunt was beamed to the clouds.

Blunt was full of life and fell back onto his ship, nestled in a cloudy seascape, surrounded by his now living crew and his old friend Poseidon.

The next task was to rescue an old and furry, kind and helpful Sea - Wolf, who had defeated the Kraken before. That was the good old days, but since then it had been trapped in a steel cage covered in coral so nothing could see it. As Captain Blunt told all his crew what to do, Poseidon rode his Sea - Horse, which is a water-horse equivalent of the legendary Sea - Wolf.

Blunt yelled, " Crew, all on the rowing boats tell the God here wadda do. And also tell the Quartermaster to make us a barrel of weaponry."

Under the command of the crew, Poseidon moved over to the stern, wading like a mountain carving it's way through water, and told Blunt where the Kraken was keeping the Sea-wolf. Blunt fetched his telescope and looked out to sea. He could see an island full of gold and a SHIP, wait, the Palm tree! As Poseidon went to the island, Blunt and Jeffery (The Quartermaster) sailed over to raid the Palm Tree to see if the boat had any gold!

Meanwhile, Poseidon had found some gold on the island. He heard the sound of cannon. Blunt and Jeffery had swung across on rigging and had taken all of the ship's cannon since it had no gold. Blunt had once famously said that it was always better to have more cannon. Poseidon came back, chest heaving, and fifty tons of gold! They all loaded it on to The Night's Eye, and went to the wooden dock.
