Dear diary,
14th August 2017
Yesterday I was so happy- it was my 10th birthday. I was so excited, all I could think about was: who would come to the party; what cake I would get; what flavour the cake would be and where will we have the party. I was so content!
When everyone finally arrived to the party hall, which was where my birthday was, the DJ played music. All my friends and family gave me presents and some gave me money. I was so happy. At the end, I opened my birthday gifts.
As I ripped of the wrapping paper of each present, I was hoping to get a Dragon Ball statue- it was all I wanted. Sadly, I didn't get what I wanted. Nevertheless, I did get some amazing toys and games.
Then my cousin told me to buy what I wanted with the money I had got, so I did. I went to loads of shops but none had the statue that I wanted.
After a minute or two, I had figured that not everyone gets what they want and sometimes you have to work with what you have. So, I did and I'm hoping I get what I want next time.
