Book Week - What I did and reviews

Introduction

Hello! As you may know,on the w/b 21/6/21, it was ''Book Week'''. Book Week was in March (that is why I put Book Week in the first sentence in speech marks) so the w/b 21/6/21 was the ''replacement'' Book Week.We were all in lockdown when it was the real Book Day.So as a treat we would have a Book Week.This blog tells you all about the things me and my class did during Book Week,and how fun it was etc.

We Learnt About The Book ''Look Back!'' by Trish Cooke and Caroline Binch

As you can tell from the title,we learnt about the picture book ''Look Back!''(by Trish Cooke and Caroline Binch) in our

Guided Reading and our English lessons.The book itself was wonderful,with lots of mystery and spookiness.I like the

book mostly because there was this code you needed to do sometimes:

If someone said ''Eh qwik!'' , you reply with ''Eh qwak!''

If someone said ''Pattaps!'' stomp your feet 4 times.

If someone said ''Bladdaps!'' you bang on the table once.

Obviously you can find this code in the book,and the words itself in the story.The story is about an old woman who

tells his Grandson a mysterious story.I will not reveal what happens after,because that is part of the ending.If I would

give a rating,I would give it 4.5 stars out of 5.I will not tell you why 4.5 stars and not 5 stars.

The Author Matt Brown Visited Our School

The author Matt Brown came to our school today and talked about how to write properly.But not just in any boring

assembly way.He did it in style.He seems to understand that children are not so serious as adults and like to laugh.So,Matt

Brown did his assembly funnily.Matt Brown showed us an embarassing picture of himself to make as laugh. He also said a

maybe funny joke:

My dog was called Minton.When Minton was being a bad dog I would say, ''Bad Minton!''

Do you get it? Bad Minton - Badminton!

Matt Brown also signed books people have bought.Lucky them.I like Matt Brown,the funny little adult. He always makes me

laugh :). If I would give a rating,I would give 5 stars out of 5 stars as Matt Brown is super funny.

Ending

All in all,this was a great experience for me.If I had the chance to,I would do this again.Thanks for Book Week,teachers.Thanks for listening.
