MICRO SOCIETY!

This term,Year 5 are doing Micro Society. Micro Society is when each class creates their own civilization and currency as well as the flag, name and businesses of their choice.

Rigel class called their society Rigopolis after the name won the vote they did in class. The other options were Rainbownasia, Bolt, Rigellians or Mr Batjs. I think Rigopolis won because it is a mix of Rigel and Zootropolis which is the name of a funny movie.

But every country needs a flag! So there was another vote for a flag. Each team drew a flag on a piece of plain paper and then voted for the flag they liked best. There was an option of a flag with a star on it, a flag with the star Rigel on it carrying a briefcase, a flag with a lightning bolt on it and a flag with a rainbow . In the end, the flag with a star on it won and Mr Woods asked the team who won to make a neat version of the flag.

The currency of Rigopolis is yet to be decided but I will update this blog when it is decided. I hope our currency will be called Rigos or Waffles. YUM! Actually thinking about it I should go and eat my breakfast waffles now before they get cold! BYE!:-)
