CAMP NIGHT
Overall, Camp Night was fun. Here’s what happened throughout this period of time:
I was walking to the school with my mum. We were both quite surprised to find a queue that went all the way to Burlington Road but I found it fun watching lots of Year 5 students join it as time passed. When I got in, I was intrigued by the different colours, shapes and sizes of each tent on the welcoming grass. I also chatted to my friend (from Wakata), Aiden and he had a list of who was sleeping where which was quite interesting.
Afterwards, I played on some play equipment until Mr Lockwood-Wells blew the whistle to say the plans for the evening. The last thing he said was, “Be free!” and the children scattered all over the place and it felt like a whirlwind!
Back on the field, I sat under a tree with my eyes closed, visualising my current minecraft realm. It did confuse people when I stood up and span around when I was really imagining flying with my elytra!
Later on, I went over to the arena to be served my beef burger. It was slightly unlucky that beef was last as I was getting quite hungry but it was really tasty in the end.
After that, I played with a lot of different people, mostly running around but sometimes with the play equipment. It was enjoyable but also very strange being at school when I’d usually be asleep.
I didn’t stay the night and was happy to go home but proud of myself for coming to the evening.
