CONDUCTOR

A conductor allows electricity to run through E.G metal and lots of other metals like bronze, Copper even steel .The reason why you put metal into a light bulb is because the metal allows electricity to run through so it gives light.

INSULATORS

A insulator doesn't allow electricity to run through it so if you do a experiment on plastic,fabric,rubber,paper or cardboard it wont work because electricity doesn't through it but if you tried with something like metal it would work.
