Micro-society-Scarcity

Dear Diary,

This week, during micro-society,we learnt about scarcity. Scarcity means when you don't have enough of something such as money or food. We did an activity and we had to create squares,circles and give counters to the banker/s. The tables had different objects such as paper,pencils,rulers and compasses. We were allowed to trade objects but some tables still didn't have enough paper or no rulers, which made it hard for them to earn points.

We also read a story called Justenuf and there was a planet that had a machine. This machine made everything for them, so this meant that they did nothing. One day, the machine broke and they had nothing to rely on for food and water. This shows that their planet had scarcity.

I am looking forward to what we are going to do next in micro-society!
