Fitness Week

Beverly Park:

On the 8th of June, our class walked out way towards the well known park, Beverly Park. We were given 3 coaches Michael was the leader of the Just4Kicks activity. Most of Jemison class only completed 2 activities which were the hit the ball and grab the vests without being hit. I couldn't imagine that much fun in just one day. In the hit the ball game, there was a trampoline like pad and there would be a ball. Using your hands only, you had to hit the ball without it going out of the pad and without you catching it. You had 2 lives if you lose one you had to go down a level but if you accomplished 3 perfect hits you move up a level. What a brilliant birthday I had!

Tennis court:

On the 9th of June, Sharman and Jemison class walked across the bridge right above the motorway so we had to be cautious. Once we arrived to the Tennis Court, we freely played tennis with friends. I was throwing balls with my racket and trying to do this repeatedly to develop my tennis skills. Later I played some matches and won 5 and lost 2. We then placed our rackets on the edge of the fence and left to go back and finish off our day at school.

Assault Course:

On the 10th of June, a company called Laser Lions came over to our school and brought us some inflatable courses. There was a parkour and a huge slide. I remember when I jumped down and smashed my body onto the ground. It was very hilarious and exciting. After all of our class got at least 2 turns on the slide Miss Perry allowed us to go on the parkour course. We had to squash ourselves between the red poles and climb up the slippery climbing equipment and slide down. When I first got on I smashed my head on the red pole unaware it was there.

Sports Day:

On the 11th of June, Year 5 got ready to have sports day. There were a few activities such as egg and spoon race, running race, disc competition, triple jump, furthest beanbag and much more. Earth, my house, won the competition in year 5 and 6. I won the running and the jumping race. Even though the houses were against each other, at the end of the day we shook hands and crossed our fingers for the result. Fire had won and they are allowed to wear muffti on Friday.

Zorbing:

On the 14th of June, laser lions were still here to help us for the zorbing activity. However we played a game which is a mix of basketball and dodgeball. Naomi guided us saying that if the yellow balls goes into one of the zorbing things your team gets a point. On the last round, I scored the winning point. Then we strapped ourselves in the zorbes and pushed and rolled each other over. It was yet another hilarious moment.
