The Mayans are people of Mexico and Central America who have repeatedly inhabited different lands of modern-day lands like Yucatan,Quintana Roo, Campeche and over more lands.

The Mayans built pyramids,temples,palaces and more they did not often decorate there buildings with stone carvings,stucco statues and paint.Maya architecture is very important as it is a few of aspects of Maya life that is still available to study.

Mayans use a variety of materials like stone,wood,ceramics,jade and bones to decorate there buildings and to make different objects that where sacred or is a specific function They also do portraits of there self.

The Mayans used a different number system probably originally developed from counting on fingers and toes the numbers have only three symbols zero is represented as a shell shape and five is represented a line and one is a dot

The Maya Calendar is an ancient calendar that rose to fame to 2012 and came to an end and inspiring some people to believe that the world would end at 11:11 on December 21 2012
