Week 2
Micro society
This week in micro society we learned about currency. Currency means a system a of money used in a country or society.
What did we learn this week and what does this mean?
What did we do this week?
To learn about currency ,we were told to bring in a game of monopoly and we could play the game .It was a lot of fun and there were different editions of monopoly other than the original which was fantastic to see. After the lesson, our teacher ,Mrs Crandly ,asked us about the different strategies to winning .I thought the more properties we bought than the more chance we received of some other contestant landing on our spot .Sadly I didn't win but it helped us a lot with our ideas for currency.

Thursday,27th April
We were told to bring some foreign money, because we were going to analyse them then figure out what do all money have .Here are some that we have listed :''The bank of...'',the amount of the money ,a sort of monument or leader image , something written in the country's or society's language and a serial number .Something was that on the Egyptian money ,if you tilt and hold it high above your head than you can see the leader but then down below you can't .However ,different currency isn't always about paper and coins ;different things like shells and diamonds .So that same day ,we were to design our own money to represent our class: USS United States of Scorpiopia. I partnered up with Zahra and together we created our money. Unfortunately ,we lost and so we were upset ;but I have to admit that there were some really creative ones. The winner was everyone who represented their table and so I am really excited to see how it looks for real.
At the end of the week, we learnt that it is about creativity .I really enjoyed this week micro society lessons and I can't wait for the following ones .It is fantastic!!!
