Microsociety By Akshaya Peake class
Doing microsociety was really fun! First we played a game where we were split into groups and named A,B,C,D,E & F. Then a folder was placed on each table and inside was some stationery. For example there was a pencil, scissors, paper, a compass(for making circles), ruler and a few counters. The game was that we had to draw and cut out paper circles which has a diameter of 10 cm and would earn us 10 points. We also had to cut out paper squares which would need to have a length of 10 cm and would earn us 5 points. Each table had different kinds resources so one table might have not had a compass but another table might have. The point of game was that we traded the resources we thought that we didn't really need with things that we really needed. The whole game was really fun and quite stressful ! Afterwards we learnt about the 1st and 3rd world and how it relates to the game we played. 1st world countries are very rich for example Britain and the U.S.A are rich countries and use lots of technology. A 2nd world country is like China or Dubai. 3rd world countries are poor like Syria which use raw resources. We also created flags for our countries because each class had to make a name for their country and had to design a flag.
