This week we made miniature light houses out of a pringles tube, a plastic lid,2 card board holders,1 plastic small bowl and a circuit connecting to a light-bulb.Read for more below:
Making light houses
How we made it:
The questions:
1.First we made a circuit connecting to a light-bulb
2.Next we made a hole in a plastic lid
3.Then we made 2 holes in cardboard
4.Then we threaded the circuit through
5.We put the end of the circuit in the pringles tube, switched the circuit on and put the small plastic bowl on top.
What did you find easy? Making the circuit. Why?This was very easy because we had made a circuit in Y4 and this was just refreshing my memory also I was used to making circuits.
What parts were tricky? The trickiest part was putting the plastic lid on the light bulb. Why?This was tricky because we had to make a perfect hole in the plastic and then put it on the light bulb.
Any top tips?My top tips are work with a team because if you don’t understand something you can ask a question to them.Use sharp scissors to cut the holes ( make sure you get an adult to help you.).Do some practise rounds of making circuits.
