Microsociety week 2
This week in microsociety we mainly discussed currencies.
We looked at some of Mrs Worsley's Gambian money. It smelt very weird!
We also discussed different objects, such as shells, gold, diamonds, cows and our current money: coins and notes. We established that cows are too large and heavy, and you may run out of diamonds, gold or shells. We also discussed clay beads, but you can copy them at home. I think coins are the best.
We decided on the name of the country and flag. The name was Peakezania (which I love!) and Mia's flag is now our flag. Surprisingly, she voted for mine! I didn't think anyone would!
We played monopoly, and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. There was a lot of shouting from someone in our group though. I did really well, and a few people had to play me tax, but I didn't have to pay anyone! However, we didn't have time to finish the game.
Finally, on Friday morning (9:00 til 12:35) we went to Lavender hill magistrates court, and re-enacted a court case. I was the court clerk and I sat in front of a computer. Mrs Worsley said that she could really see me in that job when I'm older. To be honest, I'd never considered it, but it surprised me!
Comment if you're interested, or if you just feel like it!
