As the wind blew through village, lyla looked at the dragon below her who was sleeping peacefully. lyla ushered Una to the side. "Listen!" said lyla as the wind blew her hair in her face, " you must go from here, its unsafe, anything could happen to you. Here take take this horse and watch from the hills, but if i lose the battle you must tell the village!" lyla handed over her horse. Una waved at her as she disappeared into the darkness. it was 4:45am in the morning and it was still dark, it looked like the word had come to an end, lyla stood there wiping her eyes.

There were still 10 minutes left in 5am, so Lyla gathered the villagers in then village opening, she told them not to come out of there houses. The villagers all ran home and started to look out of the windows. As soon as the clock struck 5am, Lyla stood there ready in front of una's house for the battle.

As the dragon stood there, Lyla looked up at the dragon. he had a huge hulk, of scaly, green body, glaring red eyes. His cavernous nostrils flared. the dragon was intimidating for even the bravest warrior, without a warning explosions of flames erupted shooting wildly. lyla ducked down. He had hind legs, razor shrp teeth and savage claws as sharp as a knife. Not giving the dragon time to get up, lyla plunged her sword in the dragons tail. the sword bounced on his tail, flew up in the air and hit lylas arm.

A sea of blood gushed from his wound, as he shouted in rage and pain, flames gushed from his mouth. Forcefully, Lyla raised her spear in anger, but as she ran up to the dragon, he raised himself up. "You filthy dragon!" she shouted. "you wouldn't have flew up if you weren't scared!" As lyla grunted in anger, the dragon darted down to pick up lyla and the horse. he nearly grabbed them but they dropped out of his hands. the horse who was limping ran out leaving Lyla on her own.
