Conductors and Insulators
An insulator is a material that doesn't let electricity pass through.
Examples of an insulator are: plastic, wood, rubber or glass.
Wires are covered in plastic because they don't let electricity pass through them.
If wires didn't have plastic on them you would get an electric shock.
Conductors
A conductor is a material that lets electricity easily pass through.
An example of electrical conductors are metals such as copper, iron and steel.
A game console is connected to a socket through a plug.
