Microsociety

In microsociety we learnt a new and very important word:scarcity.This means a limited amount of resources.For example,in some countries,clean air is a scarcity.This is mainly because of pollution and people being careless about keeping our society clean.In our microsociety session,we played a game cd veryalled the shape game.We were split into groups and were named group A,B,C,D and F.

The aim of the game was to draw shapes and get as many points as you could.A 10cm diamater circle would be 10 points;a 10cm square wouid be 5 points;a counter would be 5 points also.We were given packs full of different amounts of resources,making the game quite unfair for some groups.

We read the story 'JUSTENUF',about a captain who lives on a planet with exactly the right amount of resources,but then they run out.I think the captain should ration the food so everyone has the same amount.
