MICROSOCIETY-WEEK 2-CURRENCY

This week, we were focusing on currency. We decided what our flag was and what our society's name was. The winning flag design was blue and red for water and fire, had an eagle in the middle which was half blue and half red and was only voted by 12 people. Our society name is Alpha Centauri. It was first a draw between U.S.A (The United States of Andromeda) and the winning name. Most people liked it. We are still waiting to vote on what the currency will be called and what it will look like. We first discussed different currency around the world and types of currency like shells, gold, beads etc. and decided which was the best. Next, we played Monopoly so we could experience having the same amount of currency at the start, losing some, gaining some and so on. It would have made a difference if we played longer as I might have got out of jail and lost/gained some money, or lost all of it.
